A Neoclassical theme to these enchanting vintage earrings; two maidens gaze across at each other, their profiles nicely shewn against the traditional biscuit stoneware background. Jasperware has been made by the Wedgewood since the 1770's in Staffordshire and was immensely fashionable in the late Georgian era. In the famous Wedgewood Sage Green, mounted in a beaded silver frame on wires with the dark sparkle of Marcasite adding a hint of twinkle, they measure two inches from the top of the earwire. The plaques themselves just short of an inch across.
