Dating to the mid 20th century, a sublimely lovely quality pair of hand enamelled earrings mounted in 18ct yellow Gold. The hand painted charm of these young sprites framed by rosebuds is captivating; the two sisters each with their uniquely angelic expression, we can imagine they would have a meaning close to the heart.
With Maltese style 'C18' marks to the wires, we're not exactly sure of their origin, but plan to do more research as it's always interesting to learn more on your favourite subject. They measure 2cm from the top of the wires. Some very small loss to the enamel which can be inspected in our magnified photographs but which is invisible to the naked eye.
