Oh Golly, we are just in LOVE with these antique Sapphire and Diamond Earrings! Such splendidness we are entirely in awe of... (the kind you would wear for having your portrait painted) and having danced at many a glittering ball they are now looking for a new home. Dating from the mid to late 19th century, and set in pinched Silver collets in the Georgian style, these dazzling floral cluster earrings would make a most wonderful gift for a (very) special birthday or anniversary and as an heirloom. One can imagine bringing these incredible beauties out for weddings and important parties down the years; the olden hand cut Diamonds (each one a unique creation in its own right) glimmering just as they did back in the day, and the bright blue oval faceted Sapphires adding that fab pop of colour which lights up the face. They measure one inch from the post and are backed in 18ct yellow Gold; the fittings have been updated for modern stud ones at some time in their life. The two stud top Diamonds measure at 0.35ct each; the Sapphires well over a carat each and the Diamonds framing them measure at 0.60ct to each ear. We have a little vintage box which suits them perfectly too....
